Welcome to The Tuna Melt Music Sharity Blog!

It is here that I post old records that I've ripped
to Mp3 format (and grouped in .ZIP files) via File Sharing Sites,
album cover scans and, sometimes,
somewhat coherent ramblings related to said shares.

Most of the items shared are rips of Out-of-Print
(or, at least, very difficult to acquire)
Vinyl Records from my own collection,
or Compilations ("Seasonal" or "Genre-Specific") made up of Mp3 files
either digitally collected or ripped from Compact Disk.

Come on in. Look around.
Scroll downward to find available links.
I hope you find something you like.

If you don't,
you can always come back later, as the variety
of what is made available should be pretty wide-ranging.

Nicks and Buckingham: Buckingham Nicks

Aaaackkk! Naked Peoples!

Don't worry. You haven't stumbled upon another Porn Site. It's just a record jacket featuring a couple of Long Haired Musicians Au Naturale.

This record was released in 1973 and was a huge commercial disappointment for Polydor Records (who released it again, with much the same result, in 1976 after Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks had joined Fleetwood Mac). All the same, it commanded a rabid cult following in the late 70s and through the 80s and I can't figure out why it's never seen wide release on CD.

  1. Crying in the Night
  2. Stephanie
  3. Without a Leg to Stand On
  4. Crystal
  5. Long Distance Winner
  6. Don't Let Me Down Again
  7. Django
  8. Races are Run
  9. Lola (My Love)
  10. Frozen Love

DATELINE: Naples, Florida June, 1976... while vacationing with my family, I went into a "headshop". I was hypnoyized by the smell of patchouli, the R. Crumb t-shirts, the underground comics, and I was actually having a conversation with an exotically beautiful sales girl who was a few years older than me. Dude, she was wearing a low-cut gauze-style shirt and wasn't wearing a bra. Buckingham Nicks was playing on their sound system. Plus, that lovely salesperson was actually speaking to me... oh my God! My horny little head must've been spinning. She told me that I REALLY needed to buy that record, too. In my narrow little 15 ("but, I'm almost 16") year old mind, I just knew that Stevie Nicks probably must've dressed the same way, too. So, I went next door into a record store and I purchased that LP using my lawnmowing money.

Victor... thank you SO MUCH for posting the Buckingam Nicks LP!

20. Magnet And Steel
21. Just The Waiting) from 1977

Released on Anthem

Aha! Not disappointed. Happy, really. I had looked all over and not found it. Must've been a pretty limited release.

I remember reading somewhere that Stevie was against re-releasing it because she was embarrassed to be nude on the cover.

LOL! Hell! She should be all for re-releasing The Photo Alone to remind people that she was, in fact, That HOT at one point!
